Care Guide

Every Zazureno piece is designed with specific construction details—from delicate beadwork and sequin embellishments to structured boning, fine lace trims, and fluid draped panels. Because care needs vary by item, always check the care instructions listed on the individual product page before washing or storing your garment. The guidance below covers general handling practices that apply across the types of apparel we offer, but it does not replace the product-specific instructions provided at the point of purchase.

Check Your Product Page First

Some Zazureno items include care instructions directly on their product listing, such as guidance to hand wash cold, use a gentle machine cycle in a laundry bag, or hang to dry. If your item's page provides these details, follow them exactly. If no care instructions appear on the listing, treat the garment as requiring gentle handling and contact us before attempting any cleaning method.

Handling Embellished and Structured Details

Several pieces in our collection feature beadwork, sequined motifs, crochet-style lace panels, vertical pleating, corset-inspired boning, or satin-look draped overlays. These elements are part of the garment's construction and can be affected by friction, compression, or improper cleaning.

  • Before wearing: Keep embellished areas away from rough surfaces, bags with metal hardware, and jewelry that could catch threads or pull beads loose.
  • After wearing: Gently brush away surface dust from beaded or sequined areas with your fingertips or a soft, dry cloth. Do not use adhesive tape or any sticky tool on embellishments.
  • For pleated or crinkled fabrics: Avoid pressing, folding, or stacking heavy items on top of the pleats, as this can flatten the texture permanently.
  • For structured bodices and boning: Do not fold the bodice inward or hang by the straps alone if the garment has a fitted torso section; support the full shape when storing.

Spot Cleaning: A Cautious Approach

If a small stain or splash occurs, blot (do not rub) the affected area with a clean, white, absorbent cloth. For embellished or beaded sections, avoid applying any liquid directly near the decoration, as moisture can loosen adhesives or dull the finish.

Do not use bleach, strong solvents, or hot water on any garment unless the product page explicitly states it is safe. If you are unsure whether a stain can be treated at home, stop and contact us with a photo before proceeding.

Storing Between Wears

Hang garments on padded or wide-shoulder hangers to maintain their shape. For items with spaghetti straps, open-back ties, or delicate draped panels, loop the straps over the hanger rather than folding them, to prevent creasing or stretching.

Store beaded and sequined pieces in a breathable garment bag or wrapped in a clean cotton cloth to protect embellishments from snagging against other items in your closet. Keep garments away from direct sunlight for extended periods, as prolonged exposure can affect color and fabric integrity over time.

When to Seek Professional Help

If a garment has significant staining, a pulled or missing bead, damaged lace, or a compromised structural element (such as detached boning or a torn seam in a fitted bodice), take it to a qualified professional who specializes in formalwear or embellished garments. Do not attempt to reattach beads, repair lace, or restitch structural components at home unless you have appropriate tools and experience.
